The Patient Information Forum is the UK membership body for people working in health information and support. It represents more than 300 cross-sector organizations, including national patient groups, NHS Trusts and the private sector/industry

Sophie represents PIF on the NICE Shared Decision Making-Collaborative and the Professional Records Standards Body’s Advisory Group . She also sits on Janssen’s Patient Advisory Group.
Sophie was co-founder of Oyster Healthcare Communications. Oyster specializes in co-producing health information with people with long-term conditions. Sophie has a particular interest in user involvement, digital tools, risk communication, peer support, and health inequality.
Sophie started her career as a journalist specializing in public health before moving into health information.
Sophie has personal experience of accessing mental health services as a parent/carer.
